Making Self-Care Sunday a Thing...
Making Self-Care Sunday a Thing…
(but really how to make everyday feel like a self-care day…)
Some of our favorite ways to practice self-care
Do something nice for yourself…
Chris: Bake my favorite cookie, Oatmeal Raisin
Jess: Take an afternoon nap in your favorite pj’s or fall asleep on a blanket outside
Connect with Mother Nature…
Chris: Sitting outside on my swing and watching the birds
Jess: Taking my coffee outside and sitting in my favorite rocking chair
Fit in a Quick Workout…
Chris: Going on a fun bike ride with my youngest
Jess: Walking or jogging with my son, to his favorite spot…to throw rocks in the creek
Bring the Spa Home and Alone Time…
Chris: Applying a face mask and taking an extra long soak in the bath
Jess: Flipping through my favorite magazine; while giving my hair some extra love with a deep conditioning treatment
These are just a few of our go-to moments when we can concentrate on pressing the reset button on life. But do not wait until Sunday to love yourself. Find a way to celebrate YOU everyday! Even a little moment can make for a peaceful one… If it is hard for you to make time for yourself in your everyday life, below we have prescribed a weeks worth of “ Self-Care Moments” to sneak in this week! Consider us your #BeautyBffs and accountability partners! Let us know if you practice any of our favorite Self-Care ideas this week or what your favorite Self-Care moments are!!
Monday: Eat that piece of dark chocolate
Tuesday: Take a few extra minutes outside, listening to nature
Wednesday: Give yourself 15 minutes to escape into your favorite magazine or start reading that new book
Thursday: Take a walk with no destination in mind. Just walk with your kids, your partner or by yourself- but leave your phone behind!
Friday: Wake up early or get the kids to bed early and soak a few extra minutes in the bath… uninterrupted
Saturday: Bake a cake for no reason (we are grown ups, so we don’t need a reason!), make a fancy at-home coffee or even order your favorite pizza so you don’t have to cook (or clean the kitchen!)
Sunday: Bring a blanket outside, sit in the yard and munch on your favorite snacks (and while you’re out there, lay down and take that nap!)
